Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Saya ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. These terms apply to all teachers, school administrators, and other users who access the Service.

2. Description of Service

Saya is an AI-powered classroom peer student designed for K–12 educational environments. The Service is accessed by credentialed teachers and school staff. Saya participates in live classroom sessions as a synthetic peer, not as a tutor or authority figure. The Service is intended to increase cognitive depth, participation breadth, and pedagogical quality.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful educational purposes. You may not:

• Use the Service to produce, distribute, or store content that is illegal, harmful, or inappropriate for minors
• Attempt to circumvent content guardrails or safety systems built into the Service
• Share login credentials with unauthorised parties
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract model weights, prompts, or training data
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws including FERPA, COPPA, or local equivalents

4. Accounts and Registration

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately at waqas.shah88@gmail.com of any unauthorised use of your account. Saya reserves the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Credits and Billing

Free accounts receive 100 study credits at registration. Credits are consumed when Saya generates a response in a classroom session. Paid plans include monthly credit allocations as described on the Billing page. Credits do not roll over between months and are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.

6. Intellectual Property

All content generated by Saya during classroom sessions is provided to you under a non-exclusive licence for personal educational use. Saya retains no ownership over your session transcripts. The Saya platform, including its codebase, prompts, personas, and UI, remains the exclusive intellectual property of Saya Intelligence Systems.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that Saya's responses are factually accurate, pedagogically optimal, or appropriate for every cultural context. Teachers retain full professional responsibility for classroom decisions. Saya is a supplementary tool, not a replacement for human educators.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Saya Intelligence Systems shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or harm arising from AI-generated content.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new terms. We will endeavour to notify registered users of material changes by email.
