Governing your use of Saya — the AI classroom peer student platform for K–12 educators, parents, and students.
By accessing or using Saya (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. These terms apply to all teachers, parents, school administrators, and any other users who access the Service.
Saya is an AI-powered classroom peer student designed for K–12 educational environments. The Service is accessed by credentialed teachers, parents, and students (where permitted by the teacher). Saya participates in live classroom sessions as a synthetic peer — not as a tutor, authority figure, or teacher replacement.
Saya's purpose is to increase cognitive depth, participation breadth, and pedagogical quality. It is a supplementary tool that always operates under teacher supervision.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful educational purposes. You may not:
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity occurring under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at support@saya-io.com of any unauthorised use of your account. Saya reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, at our sole discretion, with or without prior notice.

Credits are consumed when Saya generates a response in a session. Credits do not roll over between billing months and are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. All billing is processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor.
All content generated by Saya during classroom sessions is provided to you under a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for personal educational use. Saya retains no ownership over your session transcripts or the student contributions recorded therein.
The Saya platform — including its codebase, prompt architecture, personas, voice system, and user interface — remains the exclusive intellectual property of Saya Intelligence Systems. Reproduction or distribution of any platform component without written permission is strictly prohibited.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that Saya's responses are factually accurate, pedagogically optimal, or appropriate for every cultural or curricular context. Teachers retain full professional responsibility for all classroom decisions. Saya is a supplementary tool — it is not a replacement for human educators.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Saya Intelligence Systems, its directors, employees, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, reputational harm, or harm arising from AI-generated content. Our total aggregate liability in connection with the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We will endeavour to notify registered users of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. For questions or formal legal correspondence, contact us at support@saya-io.com.
Saya offers a free trial of 100 credits before any payment is required, giving you a full experience of the product before committing to a paid plan.
Monthly subscriptions
You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months.
Refund requests
If a verified technical issue on our end prevented you from using the product, contact us within 7 days of your charge at support@saya-io.com and we will review your request and issue a refund where appropriate.
Free trial
No payment is taken during the free trial. Credits are consumed as you use the product — you only upgrade when you are ready.
Non-refundable items
Consumed credits and completed billing periods are non-refundable except where required by applicable consumer protection law.
